2. Overview
This website publishes code examples. It has no user accounts, no forms, no comments and no newsletter. It does not set cookies and does not embed third-party trackers, advertising, fonts or videos.
3. Hosting and server logs
When you open a page, the web server processes technical access data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status code, referrer, and browser and operating system information. We process this data to deliver the website, to analyse errors and to protect the service against misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are rotated daily and deleted after 15 days at the latest unless a specific security incident requires longer retention.
The website runs on servers rented from an infrastructure provider (DigitalOcean, LLC) that processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR. Where data is transferred to the United States, the transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.
4. Privacy-friendly statistics
We count page views in a statistics service we operate ourselves at dashboard.baer-software.com. It processes the path of
the page without URL parameters, the time of the visit, the domain of an external referring website, the active and visible
time on the page and a pseudonymous visitor identifier that cannot be reversed. A random identifier per page view joins the
time reports of the same page view and is not stored in your browser. IP addresses, complete referrer URLs, cookies and
cross-site identifiers are not stored, and visitors are not recognised across our different websites. A "Do Not Track"
setting is respected. Adding ?analytics=off to a URL disables the measurement for the current browser tab; only this
opt-out is kept in the tab's session storage.
The purpose is to measure reach and improve this website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest according to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Statistics are deleted after 13 months at the latest.
5. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Your rights
Within the statutory requirements you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, contact us at anthony.baer@baer-software.com.

We update this privacy policy when the website, the providers we use or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
